April and I had our first snake sighting this morning. In all the years we have been walking and all the miles we have logged this is the first time we have run into a rattle snake.
I spotted it sunning and thankfully asleep in a drainage ditch as we walked. We weren't sure if it was alive, but when we came back it was moving off into the bushes. Needless to say we ran rather quickly by and were even more watchful the rest of the way home.
Today I am doing laundry and getting ready for our big adventure in Italy. Future blog and hopefully picture to follow.

Ah! I'm glad that I don't go on walks with you in the morning. I probably would have turned around and gone the other way! Have a GREAT trip!
i would have been freaked out and ran home ahhh
