Its been a while, but today is a truly spectacular day. No the sun is not shinning. It's pouring rain. The kind where you put on a comfortable pair of sweats, and hunker down for the day. We haven't seen a day like this in several years. I love it.

A time of fixing broken things
I,m so pathetic at this. Every time I read all your blogs you have pictures and you are always changing the scenery. Maybe someday.

Home
Well we are back. Usually when you return from a big trip you come back with more than you left with, or at least a suitcase full of laundry that needs to be done. Not us. We came back with the clothes on our backs and a few items in what we carried on the plane. Our first flight was late and so we missed all our other flights and in the mess our luggage was lost. We even had to spend a night in New york because they couldn't get us on another flight until the following day.

Snake alert
April and I had our first snake sighting this morning. In all the years we have been walking and all the miles we have logged this is the first time we have run into a rattle snake.

Pants or lack thereof
Just a short note to all my children. Sorry, but you should be very worried. Someone will shortly have to take care of us. Today Dad left on a business trip to Germany. I watched him pack this morning and go through his list. he had a 4 hour layover in Chicago and called me from the airport laughing . Seems he packed everything but his pants. Oh well I guess he is going to get some new pants when he gets there. At least he a couple of hours before his dinner appointment.

Rats
Wow two days in a row. Dad had a freaky thing happen to him this morning. He was using the truck to return a wheelbarrow and was leaving Coto. He stopped at the light and three large rats jumped from the truck and ran across the street. It freaked not only him but the women in the car next to him who started to scream. Did I mention that we were having a rodent problem at our house, and yes we have called a pest control company who have been here and set a lot of traps. I guess thats what you get for living in a wilderness area.

A day for blood
Today was my day for the doctor. I'm way late for a lot of my check-up tests. Of course I got a nurse in training and now I have great black and blue marks on my arms from her trying to get my blood. No wonder I don't go very often. I go back in two weeks for the results.

Happy birthday to me!!! Elyse created a blog for me for my birthday so now I can be like all of you guys! Elyse is also writing this, and yes Elyse is the favorite. She will also be keeping up on me to make sure that I post more than her mother does! Although April does pretty good. Heres to the blogging world, and many more post to come. Love you all!
